Prof. Meagan Mauter is the Principal Investigator of the Water & Energy Efficiency for the Environment Lab (WE3Lab) at Stanford University and the Research Director of the National Alliance for Water Innovation, the U.S. Department of Energy’s $185M Energy-Water Desalination Hub. Her research advances the energy efficiency and cost effectiveness of securing water supplies through innovation in treatment technologies, coordinated operation of decarbonized water and energy systems, and design of water-energy policies. Mauter also serves as a Commissioner on the Utilities Advisory Committee for the City of Palo Alto and a consultant to municipalities and companies implementing innovative water treatment solutions.
