Sharif Hoque has worked as a sustainability professional for over a decade in the apparel and textile sector. Throughout his career, he has focused on industrial water management and has actively engaged with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels. Sharif joined H&M Group in 2013, and he currently leads the company’s water agenda.
As Water Impact Lead, Sharif defines the global strategies and roadmaps to achieve H&M Group’s main objectives: reducing freshwater consumption in the company’s supply chain through improved water efficiency and increasing the use of recycled water in production processes. Investing in innovative solutions – such as waterless dyeing and advanced water recycling – is central to advancing H&M Group’s water goals.
