Mike is the Manager of the 2030 Water Resources Group. WRG is a multi-donor trust fund, managed by the World Bank Water Global Practice to address global water security. The fund works with the public, private and civil society sectors to catalyze financing and innovation through global and country programs.

Prior to joining WRG, Mike headed up the Water and Sanitation Directorate of the City of Cape Town. Mike led the City’s response to the 2015-17 drought by implementing a strategy to achieve water security. Under Mike’s leadership, the Directorate was the first utility in Africa to join the Leading Utilities of the World.
