Biography
Rochi Khemka serves as Senior Private Sector Specialist with the World Bank.

Rochi leads the global program and strategy implementation for the World Bank's 2030 Water Resources Group, with a core focus on advancing private sector solutions. She co-authored the World Bank Group’s strategic frameworks on 'Scaling Water Reuse' and ‘Scaling up Finance for Water’, focused on mainstreaming private sector-led impact and financing.

Rochi has a background in private sector development and financing at the global level, and across multiple countries in South Asia, East Asia, Europe & Central Asia, and Africa. She currently drives the incubation of private sector-driven models in support of water and climate goals. In the past, she has led the development of public-private partnership models, innovative financing mechanisms, and new economic instruments, resulting in first-of-its-kind programs and projects. Prior to the World Bank, she worked with International Finance Corporation (IFC), catalyzing private sector investments for water, agri, and urban sector sustainability with leading corporates; with McKinsey and Company, advising capital markets and investment banking clients; and with various global banking and capital markets players on infrastructure financing solutions.

Rochi holds a Master’s in Financial Economics from University of Oxford, UK.
