Experienced Materials Engineer with over 19 years in the water industry, including 17 years as a Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer with National responsibility for planning, execution, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems to prevent corrosion at the national water company, Mekorot. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President of the Engineering Division, overseeing topics such as water supply, water resources, engineering, water quality, desalination, quality management, energy, and innovation.

Galia worked on various projects related to materials engineering at the Ministry of Environmental Protection for 3 years.

Galia holds a B.Sc in Materials Engineering (2000) and a M.Sc in Materials Engineering (2002) from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Thesis on Galvanic Effects of Various Galvanic Metallic Couples on Marine biofouling in Coral Reef Environment.

Galia is married and a mother of four children.
