Jim Lozier currently serves as a Global Principal with Jacobs leading their desalination and membrane treatment practice. With 44 years in the water industry as a civil engineer, Jim is a globally-recognized subject matter in the application of membrane and desalination technologies for the treatment of potable water, municipal and industrial wastewaters and for potable reuse. He has served as a lead process engineer or senior process consultant for full-scale membrane-based facilities in North America, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. Jim has has served as a principal investigator for research on low and high pressure membranes for the Water Research Foundation and the Bureau of Reclamation and is currently researching approaches to improving the economics and implementation of minimal liquid discharge for brackish waters improving the economics of as a part of the National Alliance for Water Innovation’s Pilot 2.0 program.
