Biography
Mr. Limin Gong is currently serving as the President at SWEG, which provides the water supply and drainage services to over 20 million consumers of the Shenzhen city, one of the top 3 mega-cities in China, and another 10 million consumers of 21 cities across 7 provinces.
With nearly 30 years of experience in water resources, supply and security management, and pollution control, successively as directors of several departments and the Vice Chief at Shenzhen Water Bureau, and as the Vice Director of the General Office at the Shenzhen Water Pollution Control Command, Mr. Gong made great contribution to the mega-city's success in the Water Pollution Control Campaign from 2015 to 2020.
Mr. Gong joined SWEG and served as the president in Feb. 2021, and has helped SWEG dedicate to extending the water supply and drainage services to thousands of gated communities in this mega-city, to developing and employing the green, low-carbon, sustainable and innovation technologies in water and wastewater treatment, sludge management and resource recovery, and to launching digital transformation of the water system.
Mr. Gong is also the Vice-president of the China Urban Water Association (CUWA). Additionally, also leads the Science and Technology Committee of CUWA.
Mr. Gong holds a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering both from Hohai University, China.
