Biography
Gary graduated from the University of Pretoria as a Civil Engineer and has 47 years of water experience, 26 in desalination and water reuse.
In 2000, Gary prepared Water Corporation of Western Australia’s Strategy for Desalination and has been involved in all Corporation desalination projects, including Perth, Southern and Alkimos SDP. Gary was CTO on the Gold Coast Desalination Project and has had input to most existing and planned seawater desalination plants in Australia, California and South Africa.
Gary has been a director of IDRA. He was awarded WA Professional Engineer of the Year 2007, by Engineers Australia for his contribution to desalination and water reuse.
Gary was appointed as Chief Engineer for Sequana, the leading client-side advisory firm for large-scale desalination projects and complex water and environmental projects in Australia.
Gary is passionate about desalination.
