Arantxa Mencía is the VP of Global Business Development at Almar Water Solutions, part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in business development, desalination, and water treatment projects worldwide.

Previously, she held senior roles at Abengoa Water (2005–2016), leading global business development in Latin America and beyond. She began her career as a Process Engineer at Biwater UK and a Market Researcher at Frost & Sullivan. She holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Valladolid (UVA), Spain.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Arantxa manages projects from inception to financial closure, working with public authorities, financial institutions, and contractors across the United States, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
