Jorge J. Malfeito is currently Director of R&D in Acciona's Water Business. His professional career has focused on the leadership of Research, Development and Innovation, focused on membranes processes, desalination and water treatment.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Desalination Society (EDS) and the Board of Directors of the Water Europe Technology Platform (WE).

He is also member of the International Desalination Association (IDA) being a member of its Scientific Committee as well as member of the Spanish Association of Desalination and Reuse (AEDyR).
