Christopher Flensborg, head of SEB Water Christopher has 37 years of experience from Investment Banking After 16years in Propriety trading he changed towards Sustainable Finance and is one if the instigators of The Green Bond Market. Over the last 5 years, before starting SEB Water in September 2024, he has headed a group inside SEB mandated to: 1) mobilize the banks units to drive Green & transition finance 2) identify society challenges and create fiduciary models to re-allocate Capital and 3) in collaboration with other business units advise and collaborate with the banks clients on potential financial transactions. A part of this work has included Water (SEB has been a lead manager for several Water Bonds from leading Water financing institutions such as NWB and NIB amounting to around USD 10bn). The purpose of SEB Water is to activate private Capital in the same way as SEB has been (and is) a successful partner in raising Private Capital for Green projects.
